Fog light question

Ok, I got my 525i in September 06. It wasn't until taking the last batch of pictures I post that I relized the driver's side fog light didn't work so I'm not sure if it happened while I owned it or before. I used this as an excuse to upgrade the bulbs. After I removed the fog lights and put in the new sylvania sliverstars I noticed that it still wasn't working. Then I was driving home and turned them on and swore they were both working, turns out the right light was just lighting up the left side enough to make it look that way.:bluecry1

How much will having it rewired cost?
Could it be anything else other then just bad wires?

Thanks for the help guys.

Any help guys?

Corroded contacts maybe?

Pull the lightsurrounds out and clean the contacts. It's very common to have poor connection at the fog lights.

Should I use any special cleaner or just a towel and water? If they are corroded just replace them?
Thanks for the replies guys.

isopropyl alcohol and/or an electrical spray contact cleaner (and NOT WD40)

I'll give it a try and hope for the best, thanks.

loose connections, poor grounding, burned bulbs are the uses causes why lights won't work..
