'07 525xi

So a gent dropped off an '07 525xi today here @ work today, and I must say she is BEAUTIFUL! It's my first up-close and personal look at the iDrive system and the newest PSS system... was tempted to take it for a spin, but didn't want to risk anything since we've a lot of large machinery and whatnot around here (would be just my luck to take it around the terminal and have a 35ton forklift pull out in front of me... such as the one in the 1st pic background.)

Anyhoo... here are some pics:

What I thought was really cool was the key system... the whole thing slips into the column. & as soon as the key gets close to the column the car chimes at you... so you put the key in, press the brake, then hit the PSS button. To remove the key you have to push it in again and then it'll pop right back out into your hand. Then, the key comes apart to reveal a laser-cut steel key for use in the trunk & doors.

i have yet to play with Idrive, but i do like the PSS.

One thing i like about lexus is that you dont even need to put the key in a hole. Just have it in the car.
btw..that things needs a bath..but still looks good.

If you think that's awesome, you haven't seen anything yet.

Try and find a NEW 2008 528i, 535i, or 550i. They are facelifted, better taillights, and better interior.

Sorry, no pics, but you have something coming to you.

We'll not undoubtedly have a couple come through... we've actually had quite a few Bimmers come through our yard... I've never taken the time to snap a few shots of 'em though. There was an X5 that was in a rollover accident a few months ago that I wish I had gotten a couple pics of.

its a beautiful car but i think the 3.0 on the 25 is not powerful enough for that kind of car they should stop making that engine and for the price of the 525xi you could get a 335 sedan

people don't wash them as religiously as others. I work in a shipping yard, if I wanted to keep my car clean I'd have to wash it on the daily
