fog lights problem--E34
my foglights do not turn on anymore. the driver's side used to work and i kept getting that annoying chime. after i checked it out i saw the wire to the passenger side foglights had broken of the harness on the back of the foglight.
I checked the bulbs and they are fine, I also changed the fuse and reconnected the harness. but now none of them tun on........and that chime is getting annoying! can anyone tell me where the relay to the fogs are located so I can check if it is bad?
Have you removed the light unit and checked the connections for power? I'd do that before going looking for relays.
If you have no power at the connectors (just push in type), then you need to look in the fuse box (where the relays are too).
But they are notorious for poor earths and connections. Just try pulling both units out. Clean the terminals and replace them (assuming you have voltage there)
