Talking New Car!!

I was just given (today) a 1975 E12, 530i with 124,583 original miles on it. 4 spd. manual, creme w/ beige seats and black trim. Body is straight with minor door dings and only 2-3 spots w/ paint missing & rust (smaller than my pinky nail). Engine runs but needs work I'm told (no battery currently), rough and smokes a bit. Figure I'll go through and check the seals, do a compression check, vacuum lines, system flushes, etc. A total BEAUTY! I'm so stoked to have a 7 & a 5 now! Here are a few pics... took them with my phone, better ones to come in the next few days.

**EDIT**
New pics are here.

That car looks like it was well taken care of. I see several here in Germany that look like they went through a meat grinder.

It looks great man. Good luck

New car looks awsome now you need one of the following, 2002, e21 or e30 to have a 3/5/7 combo.

Thanks everyone, it was just being in the right place at the right time. I was at work tinkerin' on my 7 and one of our regular lumber haulers asked if I would be interested in another one... I asked how much he said I could have it, he just wanted it gone. The thing is GORGEOUS!

My phone doesn't do it justice, the thing looks like it's new (minus the couple very minor dents and low tires from sitting a year.) I just found a place to store it to work while I do the work on it, and hopefully it shouldn't be more than a month or to until she's done (will ony have fridays and some weekends to work on it due to my working the swing shift.) As soon as I get her moved I'll snap a bunch of ictures w/ the digital camera so you all can see
the true condition she's in and the few small things I have to work on.

Lol.... I'd be in heaven if I had a full combo of the series, though my wife would kill me if I brought home another car before I signed on a house (plus the complex won't want a bunch of cars sitting around). I'll probably end up getting her a somewhat newer 3 and then myself a classic 3 a little later.

psssht, just get a classic 3 "for her" and then refuse to let her drive it!

That's a sweet ride, for free most cars aren't too bad but that would be sweet even if you had to pay. If only we all were that lucky.......ummmmm free bimmer.
