e28 heater no go

All the fuses are good, the fan simply doesn't blow. Which plastic pieces should I break while attempting to carefully remove first and what do I need to get at to make it blow?

pick up a bently manual. i dont have mine here but if i remember correctly from when my heater core thingy went. its next to the fire wall and can be reached through the engine compartment. i could be wrong though, since EVERYthing on my car breaks (this week it was the air intake, last week it was the clutch, week before that it was the clutch...)

Its not EXACTLY what you describe. but it should help diagnose

you said the fan doesn't work? even if you turn the speed all the way up? I'd say it's the blower motor itself... mine went out not too long ago. 1/2 the time it wouldn't do anything, the other 1/2 it would run, but sounded like s**t... turned out one of the bearings on it went out so it would get bound up, a sharp jarring would break it loose sometimes. Pull the motor and give it a look over. Regardless of anything else the blower motor shoudl work (unless fuses/wiring's bad... but you've already checked that.)
