This past summer I went with Preston Premixed Quick Fill, 5 yr./150,000 miles (although I won't keep it in that long). $9.99 a gallon. Seems to be the latest formulation for anti-freeze. See the Preston web site for further information.

Prestone Yellow should be fine. save yourself the time and just get the 50/50 pre-diluated bottle. walmart is the cheapest i've found them.

My car is leaking anti freeze very slowly...its probably just a cracked hose but...My car is also now not starting...are they related?

It is turning over so the battery has enough juice...at least that is what I have been told. Would anybody have any idea as what the problem could be? Could it be my alternator packing it in as I have stereo equipment in it and I just had an automatic starter with alarm installed about a month ago...perhaps that was too much for my alternator.

Or could it be that its -5 here and my car just doesn't like the cold...is there a plug somewhere on it that we can plug in and heat up the engine block?

those are pretty vague descriptions. Where's the leak exactly dripping (at least a point under your car - and please don't say under the front) and for not starting there's ALOT of possibilities - turning to slow, low voltage (not enough current for turning the car + starting) bad gas, frozen fuel lines, the list is endless. you have to be more exact ... PLEASE! When was the last tune up? fuel filter change? maintenance? we need more info if we can possibly try to help you & save you from the wolves at service places. If all else fails - have it towed to a local dealer - it sounds like your car has a handful of problems and they are best equipped to address all of them.
