Official: New Title Banner
 

All right, me and Torque have spent the past hour or so working on a new title banner for the site, and while we've come up with a few nice ones... but being United Bimmer, we're opening it to the public.

Here is the PSD (photoshop file) for the current banner.

The new banner needs to be 823px by 52px to fit perfectly.

The right side of it needs to fade to the gray gradient currently in the header, so people with resolutions bigger than 1024x768 will not see a big gray block there suddently after the image ends.

It needs to have the title of the site, United Bimmer, (obviously, haha), and the slogan: United We Drive.

For fonts, we used MGS2 Menu, found here. Some other good fonts can be found here, including Ethnocentric, the font used in the current header.

For colors we're thinking a silver or blue. It has to go with the current blue/white theme now, but silver is nice because it allows us to change that later without having to redo the header. We tried a few all silver headers, and decided some color was needed, so we added blue. haha. Colors are pretty much up to you guys though.... whatever would look good and flow with the current site.

Here is the backgroud we ended up liking, though the background is obviously up to you. We thought the e46 m3 would be a nice choice most people would agree with (not bangle and not old school): Link

Hopefully rather than just voting, people will rendition their own also. ;)

where do you add new fonts to use in PS 7? =0

i'll work on my own rendition if i knew that much. :)

Download the font, then drag and drop it in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder and it'll automatically appear in all programs like PS. :)

since i can't rendition my own , i say number two plz

I like 1, but 2 is also very nice

And good choice with the CSL, I think everyone will be happy with that

i like the font of what we already have

I've replaced the header with number 2, until a member makes a better one.

Haha, I'm serious. Anyone decent at PS should give it a try. :)

Yeah, those are more banner quality (busy), not site heading image (simpler).

And the slogan is United we drive... not stand. haha

Suggestion:Make a banner with all BMW model in it.I like Skaw's work tho..
