A surpise after cleaning
The cold winter was gone and I had time to finnally clean my car. Unfortunatly, during the process, taking off the layers of dirt and oxidation from almost a years of dirtiness, I discovered some "imperfections" that really got me .
1. How the car looks today, two days after the cleaning....fuckin pollen!
2. Closeup of that shit.
3. Bird shit etching.
4. Big ass rock chip.
5. A pair of mofo big ass rock chips.
6. I have no idea... clear coat peel away?
If the pollen wasn't there and the sun wasn't so bright, you would be able to see more clearly in some of the pictures. There are many more imperfections, but these last four are the major ones. On the hood, I have ~5 spots of bird shit markings. Nicks adorn the rest of the hood and bumper. Photo 5 with the twins... that bitch is REALLY deep.
For all of these, I have no idea how they came about (except the bird shit, that's obvious)
Now, how do I fix these. In the cleaning process I used a non abrasive polish, which of course, didn't do shit on the crap. I'm afraid to go abrasive. Recommendations? Comments?

Thanks for the comments celsdogg. The small stuff, yea, nicks and what not, I can get over that stuff, but the gouges on the hood... down to the metal... that's what's really annoying me. And damnit, I found rust on the door sill on the rear passanger frame. My car isn't that old, this rust shouldn't be popping up. Isn't there a 10 year waranty against this stuff?
Anyway, back to the original post I made, there's got to be a good brand of filler and whatnot that I could use to protect the metal and make the indentations less noticable.
And though I'm not really wanting to use harsh abbrasives, anyone recommend one that will do a good job and isn't hard to use for the bird shit (and not too harsh on the paint)?

I would've used that cat for football practice.
So your saying that there's no compound that will remove the shit from my hood?

Dough, hit it with a claybar & TAKE YOUR TIME. LIGHTLY over it with LOTS of soapy water. Then hit it with your P21 (that's what you said you used right?) Then go over it with a good wax (P21s or Blitz) If the clay doesn't get it after a couple of times it's going to take a buffer and one of 3Ms buffing compounds & a buffer. You might try calling Car Care Specialties @ 1.877.796.8300 for some answers. (there's a guy there who's a chemical engineer and he's sharp as a tack - kind of obnoxious but good info and he won't do you wrong)

Thank you for responding, c1apton. When I first saw the etching, I used a quater sized peice of clay bar, used it on those areas, but to no end. Though I didn't spend alot of time on just one area. But from my efforts, I think they are engrained into the clear coat, so using the claybar wouldn't really help anymore, though I will try again.
