I just waxed/polished my car for the first time in a year and a half (since I bought it) and was fucking amazed with the Zymol. It works wonders on hellrot which seems to get oxidized pretty easily. The red on my car is about 10 times more intense now.

Hey all...
Had to convince pops to switch to this liquid Crystal [From Meguiar's tech wax] (cant remember name of maufacturer of liquid crystal) but its literally like putting mirrors on your car lol [or a sheet of crystal ]...
Clay it first (Sonus), 3m Imperial Hand Glaze, (Zymol or P21s pre wax cleaner) & top it off with 1 Grand Blitz wax - after that all it needs is a rinse of H20 for months.
*Clay: go easy with clay! - not only using very light pressure but only use it when surface feels rough. Clay has been used for years by body shops for getting rid of overspray, it's like "micro sandpaper". Using it too often WILL go through paint. Use it once maybe twice a year.
Avoid using cheap waxes, "you buy cheap - you get cheap" & also German finnishes are different paints/components than the Jap/Amer cars. German clearcoat is also softer than J/A cars.
And a "biggy" to remember apply in STRAIGHT LINE not circular. Initially circular thought was -a) similar to buffer & b) better coverage (overlapping motion) But circular motion adds swirls & scratches. - and as any painter will tell you "have you ever seen a painter appling paint in circular motion?"
I won't waste anymore space here - feel free to blast me e/mail and I'll give you plenty of info. My Dad was a chemist & owned a chemical factory that made car wax, aircraft & battleship paints - so we have tons of data.
Just a "heads up" for you guys, especially you Zymol users. They were bought out by Turtle Wax. So you might notice a lack in quality as you've been accustomed to. (T/W is known for doing this) They bought the name only and not the rights to the patents. I'll post more when I find out who/if anyone does buy the formula patent(s).
Also the P21s products just got a good reveiew (this is from Chem. Weekly) Their "enhancing cleanser" & Concours wax got - 4 star ratings for effectiveness and cost/value for European car finishes (they reduced their prices last month)

p21s, long lasting product, still have enough left for years to come. The pic in my sig was before I got the wax. That shitty looking finish is from some crappy product called IBIZ from an auto show that I was suckered into getting. Anyway... I'll post pics of the finish from p21s when school gets out.
Dough
