Detailing and Cleaning
Sponsored by: Autogeek.net Discuss waxing, cleaning, detailing and everything in between here to keep your bimmer looking its very best.
I bought a good bit of stuff from Greg @ Detailed Image to detail my car but I simply haven't had the time to use it all yet. But today I decided to at least give a go at the engine cleaning. Now keep in mind I did this very quickly and in the future will be much better at it, but this entire process (including a quick beer run before putting the aerospace protectant) probably took me 10-15 minutes impin:
Here is what I used, the brushes are VERY soft plastic and very versatile.
I'll let the pics do the talking but remember, only about 10 minutes worth of work (am sure if I had spent more times it would have been even better, it's not perfect but it's a huge improvement) :
And FYI, these pics were all taken before putting the Aerospace Protectant
Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.
Very nice job on the engine and good job on finding Todd's DIY write-up. He's one of the most knowledgeable detailers out there and the DIYs on detailedimage.com should help a lot of people doing what you just did.
Keep it up man, looks good!
