Is there such a thing as leatherette for the E36s. If I do have leather seats, they must be really dried out. My car was not garaged for at least the last 5 years. My buddy's garaged 94 has leather seats that are soft, like leather. I've applied Meguires leather cleaner/conditioner once and that softened it up a little. I'm starting to wonder if it's leather or fake leather.

if the seats are origional, its real leather. BMW doesnt do fake.
Just keep aplying leather treatment to the seats until it starts to soften. It can take multiple applications. If its still dry that means it absorbed all the leather cleaner and wants more. Bimmer seats are verry good quality, and can be brought back with a little time and some elbow grease |
Does treatment work even if they are quite cracked - but not split?
Can someone recommend an easy-to-find leather treatment? |
