question about chrome
 
can i wax chrome with regular car wax or do i have to have a specail chrome polish?

You can wax chrome. Or polish it. They are two different things. Waxing is to put a finish coat, polish means to buff by friction; a polishing formula does not leave a clear coat like wax.

I wouldn't wax it because chrome needs to breath or you'll seal moisture and the natural oils in. Use a good chrome polish or .0000 steel wool (.0000 steel wool won't scratch it) Once chrome is sealed with wax it will discolor and/or get a weird haze to it, like a cloudy finnish.

Chrome polish would make it stand out too, a lot more shinny

is that what often happens with the chrome around the windows?
