the Alpine iPod inerface works fantastic. I just had mine installed. instead of other things where you can only access your first 5 playlists, this allows you to access all of the iPod's functiions with your Apline HU.

ok, had time today to look up your info....

You'll need 3 pieces from monster cables, it's called the Icruze system, will fool your car to recognize the Ipod as a CD Changer allowing you to go up and down tracks on your playlist.

These are the 3 pieces you need:

1) The brain of the unit it's self, this will plug into your Ipod then plug into another unit...
MPC FX Icruz - $149.99

2) The brain that will fool your car into thinking the ipod is a change (car specific)
MPC FX IM BMW1 - $99.95

3) The cable that will connect your CD changer port into the previous unit (car specific)
MPC FX Ic BMW1 - $29.95

Now there is an optional unit that you can add to show you Titles and Artists...
MPC FX CD UM - $99.95

Hey Rooz,

I want to do a custom system in my car next Christmas, dvd player, subs, etc. What stores are in WA state? How is your companies custom work? Do you guys just sell the equipment? I am a huge proponent of you get what you pay for. I didn't pay 40 grand, when I bought my car, not to put great equipment in it. I am referring to the link to the post.

I have a Monster FM transmitter, and it won't stay plugged into the lighter.
I have a nifty little device which plays mp3's off thumbdrives and also has an aux input. I picked it up at walmart for $25 and it stays in the lighter nicely and broadcasts fm. It works pretty well, and it is inexpensive. Since it uses thumbdrives you upgrade capacity by simply buying a bigger thumbdrive or you can swap them out and carry more than 1. It also recognizes my mpio mp3 player as a drive so I can charge it and listen to the mp3's on it at the same time.

Actually I just found the product http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...33257%3A164096 seems the price has gone up a tad

We are probably one of the better places to get custom work done,

To view if we have a store in your area, go to:http://www.tweeter.com/corp/index.jsp?page=storeLocator

We do all kinds of custom work, we recently got done in a $85k project on a 300m down in ATL, we sell high end equipment and instal everybit of it. Let me know exatly what you want I'd be more than happy to quote you a all system

Rooz,

Tweeter is not in WA. There is a Bang and Olufsen store in Seattle. Do you guys just carry there brand?

So has anyone tried the Harmon Kardon Drive + Play that Rooz referenced?

http://www.unitedbimmer.com/forums/81375-post27.html

I'm thinking about picking one up, but don't want to go through the install process if anyone's had shitty luck with it.
