Question HID Upgrade

Well, I currently have ZKW's with DDE enhanced. When I purchased them I was on a "budget" so I couldn't wait to save up another ~300 more for HID's. They were on sale and Umnitza gave me a special discount, and I only paid $550 for the ZKW's.

But now am thinking of getting HID's, so is there any ways to upgrade my current headlights to HID's?

I FOUND IT! Umnitza is offering a kit right now for only $275 it's an upgrade for my headlights

Now only question is do I want 6k or 8k? (forget about 4k and 5k, lol)

I hear that 8k is "too" blue... is that true?

Here is a pic:
4k left, 6k middle, 8k right (e46 for comparison of color)

and 8k on an e36

I like how the 8k looks on the E36, but prefer how the 6k looks on the E46..

But I also read this:
Quote:
The 8k does lose a lot to the 6k in illumination
Opinions?

yea 8000k is bluer but not as bright as the 6000k, but the 6000k actually does look pretty blue in person, and it's very white. I prefer the 6000k just for function, and it's also less obvious you have the HID's with 6000k, as it is illegal to have aftermarket HID's (not that anyone would do anything about it anyways).

What does the HID add to your current headlights? just make them brighter and have more of a bluish color? My headlights are starting to get fogged up, and all those different options you can get for ZKW's and stuff is so confusing to me.

THese pictures should answer your question:

6k prolumen hid kit in ZKW's

If not, ask me what options you have questions about.

I personally would choose 6k lights, and 8k fogs.
