Help with install..??

ok so i got :
200watt nakamichi amp
6 mb quarts speakers(2 tweaters, 2 2" (mids??) and 2 5"(maybe 6??) speakers.
2 corss-overs
and a sony head unit( i know its not the best but it has to do cause im not spending more)
the head unit will support an amp so tahts ok

now my question is if i want to go about installing this(cause i dont feel like paying some guy 300 to install at a radio place) what should i consider. does anyone know of any good DIY's?
I know Im need some monster cable and fuses and all that.
Do you think this can be done as a DIY? Im pretty good at figuring stuff out..so what do you guys think?'

edit** after a couple of min of searchign i found this site...this thread helps a little with car stereo basics....http://www.clubknowledge.com/Car_Audio_FAQ/?t31

Installing your head unit is gona be your biggest problem. The amp and running the wires takes no skill at all. I suggest going to home depo and buying some nice cable and dont use the stupid monster cable package. Get some 6 gauge wire, a inline fuse that you put as close as you can to your battery and sone RCA wires. You also need a small remote wire that runs from the one blue wire in the back of your head unit that says remote and plug that into the remot plug on your amp or your amp will never turn off. ive never put a head unit into a E30 so Im not to sure on which wire goes where for the head unit. Other then that its all basic.

Personally I ran all my speakers off my head unit and only ran the subs off of the amp.
I would just make it simple and plug your amp in and run a + and a - off of the low output port on the amp to your sub. I never messed around with cross overs or anything like that. And Im sure that your headunit has enough power to posh your speakers enough. I have 7 speakers pluged into my head unit and when its turned up you cant hear yourself talk so its not bad. If you keep turning it up its gets to loud for the speakers and they start destorting.
