XM Radio Question

I am getting a new head unit and will be getting XM radio.

I am gettin those from different places. However I feel like the guy who's selling me the XM radio stuff is trying to rip me off.

I've heard that for XM radio yu need either.
A) the module made for your brand.

OR B) a general module made for ALL brands.

The place I might be getting mine from is telling me I need BOTH

I call a BS flag on that, but I have never dealth with XM radio. Any feedback would be apreciated.

Are you talking XM or Siruis?

And what do you mean module? I know for my N2, if I wanted XM/Sirius, I'd need to buy another antenna and brain to plug into the unit and enable it.

Ok, it all makes sense now:

I need EITHER

This:
Pioneer GEX-P920XM

OR this:

XM Direct Tuner box + Aftermarket Adaptor cable

Same price, probably go with the first one...
