the new mtx subs are real nice and fairly inexpensive to get into and they're amps are very good matches as well. my buddy just got one 10" mtx 7500 and it bumps hard! sounds real good. talked to a guy at a car audio shop yesterday cause i haven't been researching in about 5 years and everything has changed but he told me the mtx subs are now even more reliable and stronger than JL. this is due to the voice coil design and material used to create it.

never heard of them... my advice is to stay with a well known brand... but then you will be spending more $$$$
dont forget that you need to create a box for this, and wire from the headunit to the trunk

very true.... an amp will be at LEAST 100 bucks if its just covering the amp.
sub speaker: at least 60 each
box... not sure how much those cheap ones go for.... custom is way expensive
wiring... 30ish?
labor if you dont want to run wire from the HU to the trunk... some cash there too
