i also may want to do this, on of my rears just blew and im looking to replace it, and if this way is cheaper (than dealer hk speakers) and sound better than i just may have to do this

It was for me sicne I already had the 6*9's, check to see how much dealer hk speakers cost, but I can assure u that 6*9's will sound better

Well, got some free Alpines and put them in instead of the pioneers (one of them busted) here are some pics, the texture is sound dampener.

The speakers goes on the part where i put it with 4 holes (6*9's all have their holes at same spot), then you screw in the 3 screws from the rear deck to the 3 holes drilled on the other side...
