I want the best for my Money! What do i buy?

i dont know a thing about subs and amps and decks. But im looking to install somthing that is is extremely loud and alot of bass to it. The speakers that already come with the car are pretty good and all i wanna do is add subs, amps, and a deck. I need advice on what u think the best type of each would be to install in my car. Most importanly what SUBS should i buy for the best/loudest sound?Ive heard that alpine and kicker are two of the best qualties sub companys i should invest in? Please give me some advice on what i should install for the best sounding system.

P.S. i listen to alot of rap

a lot of peopoe love JL subs, but i think that they are over priced... though they are nice.
kicker subs are nice too, they hit pretty hard.

im not too sure for you, since yu are into rap, you probably just want something that will hit hard. probably go with kicker.

i am not the greatest with amps,i need to look into those some more.

head units, for the money, i would say alpine.

It really does depend on your budget. But if you want loud quality bass i'd go for either Alpine or JL, just give a ballpark budget and it'll be easier to find whats best.

For the headunit I would go with alpine

If you go alpine maybe look into a SBR-S122v or the SBR-s102v with an m605 Amp.

JL's do hit very hard. Infinity is a bit more balanced, but might be too soft for your rap taste.

If you let us know what your budget is, we'll try to put together some things that'd be the best for that amount. Are you talking about $500 worth or $3,000 worth? haha, that'll greatly influence our suggestions.

And just out of curiosity, what kind of car do you have? Welcome to United Bimmer.

dude buy my shit. JBL power mono block, and two alpine twelves. here is a link to it. And I am only asking $375 for a set up that cost me over 800 bucks. Granted it there is a scratch on the one sub you will have to paint (easy fix) and you will have to pay shipping, which is probably cheaper than anywhere else you will buy it online anyway...

For three grand for rap i'd definitely go with 2 JL W7's with a ____ amp and alpine headunit. if you do it yourself (assuming you have a little technical knowhow and can get directions for installs online) you can save some scratch.

JL W7's will set you back $799.98 a piece at crutchfield.com
Alpine headunits start around $180 and go up to around a thousand, so thats up to you.

if you have the money only mess with the best, alpine, JL, Infinity, at least IMO.

oh yeah, if you're going for hard hitting and loud i'd invest in an equilizer especially since you listen to rap. nothing beats a good EQ. sometimes the headunit isn't enough.

Most excellent point, since a lot of rap music is not recorded very well in the studio. For that, IMO there's only one way to go:
http://www.mobileaudiocontrol.com/

My advice . . too many people slam watts by the ton into their cars to get the loudest and biggest bump n' thump, and they almost always end up wasting energy and creating an unbalanced system. You gotta come up with a plan and design tailored for the particular car in mind, then choose your 'weapons'. Name brands are a waste if you don't use them to their proper potential.

In a given reference environment, you can compare subs very easily, and choose which is best. But in a car where there are a multitude of acoustic variables, that comparison literally goes out the window. If you get a woofer with a big ass magnet structure, you already need a hefty amp just to get the damn thing to move, when you can achieve the same dB with a more efficient, lighter woofer. For the most bang for your buck, you gotta consider acoustics and enclosure design along with power. My $.02

Alpine gives you very "clear" sound

JL/audobahn would probably be the loudest subs you can get. I personally have a JL amp and even though it's pretty expensive I don't regret having purchased it.

2 * JL w7's??? Are you joking? One of those subs is more than enougth, with two am pretty sure you would blow your back window.....

And the amp to go with would and should be a JL 1000/1
