original radio swap...

I was wondering if anyone had ever put a later factory radio/cd player in an older model car.... I have a 1990 325is and want to keep a factory look but have a cd player as well.......
Any comments/thoughts
appreciated...

Happy 4th of July everyone !!

The wiring is definitely different. But I may be able to help if you provide more specifics.
