Oh, he didn't clock me today, I could tell after his 2nd sentence.
"Good afternoon, I'm sure you know that I pulled you over for speeding. Do you have any idea how fast you were going?"
That question, often times, (esp. when traffic is heavy and you were not exactly in direct radar\lidar sight) is not rethorical and they didn't clock you but noticed you were definately speeding in relation to the traffic around you. If I said like 90, he probably would have written it down, or just proceded to give me a warning ticket like I got.
"exceding speedlimit in a 65 mph zone"
Just an annoyance ticket, but it's in a county thats about 50 miles from home, so screw it I'm hiring a lawyer.
oh, I dunno I was probably doing 95-100. I was going 75 in a 65 all the way down I-40 for about an hour and was remenescing about what I did last night, I got excided because of it and the music I had playing and decided to do a little speeding burst. Floored it and about 7 seconds later I checked the onramp I was passing and saw a trooper just clocking people and proceded my evasive actions :P
I saw him rolling and knew right then that he saw something he didn't like so I just moved on over to the middle right lane (it's 4 lane most of the way) and dropped it down to 70. I immediately slowed down and got cars inbetween me and him so he couldn't get a reading on me. We BOTH knew he had me, I was just attempting to cover my ass incase he didn't actually clock me, which he didn't. (Or he was just nice and gave me a warning and he actually DID clock me)
It sucked cause I just wanted to go fast for a good minute out of a 2.3 hour drive. :/ BAD timing.

Actually, the reason they ask that question and word it that way is to get you to admit guilt. A lot of times they are taping/recording the stop..... video.....

Yah exactly.
Apparently you guys don't know the section of business I-85, I-85, and I-40 (business intertwines with I-40 for a while) inbetween raleigh\greensboro and High point, and I-85 from charlotte... State troops love those highways and I'm on them every day, often times on the weekend.
6 lanes wide - speed limit 65... YAH RIGHT... *Everyone* goes 75, and the troopers love nailing people doing 80
