head unit suggestions??

i have an '88 325iX & am looking for a new head unit. here are a couple of required components: bluetooth ready, iPod compatibility, amber illumination (i want it to match my other amber lights).

i am looking at the alpine iDA-X100 http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...model=iDA-X100
it states that the illumination is changeable (blue & red) but it is unclear if the red really is red or is amber (i'm assuming red). if anyone has this unit could you let me know?

something similar to the alpine iDA-X100 would be ideal. thanks for the help!

Alpine makes great units, I use to sell them like candy.

As nice as their units were and simple to use, I went with a Pioneer premier unit for my self due to the sound quality. Being that my ears have been trained to listen to high quality audio I really liked Pioneer's audio processing. But for everyday use Alpine is still a great product. I haven't personally played with the unit you are looking into but I had insight on it when it was in production and r&d and from everyone that I'v heard from it's a great unit.

What I would do if I were you, I would go into a store that has that unit and actually play with it and see how you like it
