Original Radio replacement

I have a 43k miles from new,1987 E32 730ise. Fitted is the original Blaupunkt radio. I've removed the radio in order to fit a Sony CD player. The wires going into the back of the Blaupunkt are confusing! The speakers seem to be connected via a round connector with roughly 7 pins inside. The power is simple enough. I also have 2 x extra wires (which i suspect maybe tweeters) which were not connected. Anyway has anyone any idea which wire does what primarily on the speaker side of things? Thanks.
