Car Audio and Electronics
Sponsored by: SKOB on itunes Discuss sub and speaker setups, GPS navigation, XM radio, and anything else related to car audio and electronics.
Cameron and I were messing my car one evening and we had interior lights on for about 3 hours and that killed the battery. I'm guessing the power consumption would be similar.
Btw, whatcha think about making the car audio section also include electronics? Or do you think there should be a seperate forum?

it all depends on how old the battery is and how good it is at holding the charge your alternator (Which might not be good either) gave to it... some batteries will die in 10 min if you have the radio on without the car on.. (my old battery haha) mine i left my dome light on over night and my car still cranked haha (then again i got a hella expensive battery haha
Harry needs to get a better battery, his is slowly dying
Ha, yes. My angel eyes dim when the car's not running.
But on that topic, anyone know how long it would take a normal battery to die if you leave the angel eyes on with the car off? 4 leds (two per tube) of 12v each (i think).

Well, Harry that is why I am asking... I wanna hook 'em up independently and be able to leave them on all the time... not worried about them burning out (since LEDs have a life expectancy of like 10000 hours)...just the battery factor.

my battery drained when i left my hella AE on at work for ~3 hrs before they were shut off, but i had been draining the battery all day installing an amp while running interior lights, etc. (it was too cold out to do it on the driveway!)
when I had my mustang I had a few blue led's on the inside it takaes a few hours to kill the batteries, I know that it lasts at least 2 hours...., but I think LED's would kill batterie less than regular lights
Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.
