Ipod Wiring Unit/ New Headunit?
I am really looking for a iPod hardwiring unit for my 1999 323i. I have looked around and the old Dension ice link unit has had problems or so I hear. I checked Bavarian Sound website and they have a "DICE" unit (oddly D(ension)ICE??). Is there a kit that anyone recommends? If not I was hoping that maybe there was a headunit that would fit that would also allow me to plug in the iPod and have it run directly through. The DICE unit provides the CD information, Track Title, etc. but only for 2000 and up . Any ideas? My budget is relatively limited, but I am willing to spend if need be.

I'm running a Pioneer headunit with a cable from the rear wired through the dash and into my glovebox...was very cheap and an easy install. There's a thread with a few ideas here

i purchased a setup from best buy.
It connects to the cd changer and wiring is a breeze.(you cant use your cd changer afterwards.) It does not display track info but it works with the steering wheel controls, so that is good for me.
Easy to install, works with stock setup. $200 is what i paid. Check that out also

Dension and Dice are the same companies. They use different names in Europe and USA, they are good units and I for one have no heard of any issues.
