Help Installing Aftermarket Alarm/Remote Start and Accessories on e46

Looking to see if anyone has done an aftermarket alarm/remote start on an 2001 325ci (or similar). I am installing:

-viper 5900
-DEI 508t (motion sensor)
-DEI 530t (window roll up/down)
-DEI 555b (immobilizer bypass)

I've got various wiring diagrams for the alarm itself but no info on the windows. I was hoping someone had done this in one of their e46's and could provide some info. Thanks

Does anyone do any real work on their cars? Washing your car and changing the oil is not a MOD. I must be in the wrong forum.

Anyone who is familiar with the systems you mentioned will reply

I decided to install the alarm/remote start over the weekend and did it with great success. I intsalled the viper 5900 with a motion sensor, glass break sensor, and trunk popper. If anyone is interested, I can go ahead and post some pics of the install. Its a great DIY for all you DIYers. Anyway let me know and I will post pics.

Really depends on what you want to do and how far you're willing to take it. AN alarm is something that can be made as custom as desired if the skills and willingness to do it are there

How many of the 530t's did you do? Just one. I have a 5000 and (Several) modules that I'll do, but for me it will a lot more complicated bcs I have quite a few add-ons on the alarm I'd like to do

Yes, pics or a DIY-description would be really nice, imo...
always trying to improve the knowledge base :)

Rooz,

Per your last question, I did not get a chance to install the 530t yet (Installing 2, one for front windows other for rears). I was missing two wiring harnesses which I need because its for the 4,5,6 channel for the alarm. I have to go back to the shop and get the the seller to give me those wires. Lesson learned: always double check your box for contents when box is marked display.

As for installing the 530t's, its quite simple. The trouble is running the wires to the doors. I am going to double check on this because I might not need to run them to the doors. This project is going to be a longone because I work full time and go to school, so please bare with me.

I will post the pics of the "alarm and components" up tomorrow.
