Radio
Help, I have a 2004 330ci and the radio has gone wacko-. I have the Navi system, etc. Today when I turned on the radio I got a loud shine or a high pitched screeching sound. No I have tried everything and still can't play the radio or CD, just the loud screeeeeeching sound. Tomorrow I'll go to the local dealer and see what they say.

Haven't heard that before.
Hmmm. Maybe they'll unplug it and re-plug it in and re-enter the radio code. Maybe that'll work.
Or maybe you need a new factory amp.

Does the loud screeching sound change at all when you turn on the car? Does it change with the engine RPM? Car radios have circuitry designed to filter out electromagnetic interference and noise that comes from the engine bay, and sometimes this goes out you get noise out of your speakers. Hoepfully, you are still under warranty. Otherwise, it is one of those things maybe the dealer can figure out.
