help me pick a new system out

hey, i want to put a new system in my car and im more of a car mechanical than electical type of person.. as far as i know... their are tons of different face plates amps and subs and door speakers and such... ill just jump right into it

first off im NOT looking to buy subs, i have a set of 2 12" JL audio competition series subs.

i want a new amp highest quality $300 bucks maybe slightly over $300 but under $350 bucks that money can buy

door, tweeter, and rear speakers... these arent too expensive most of the time... how about some mid range quality speakers for all of these? =) maybe $60 for door(2 speakers) and $60 rear (2 speakers), and like $30-$60 for tweaters

and the face plate set is kinda important.. i dont junky jensen or anything a nice quality good brand name besides sony
kinda sceptical about alpine and kenwood from pretty bad experiences... had 2.. an older and a newer model kenwood where the face turns completely around hehh long story they both broke the same way, so lets keep it simple detachable standard stuff but good quality... dont need anything that turns around in 360's or slides up and down, also dont need anything fancy like a 3" lcd display yatta yatta
MUST have all the latest mp3 hookups, aux in or w/e, put it simple i wanna able to simply plug my 5th gen ipod video into the face place.. with usb? ive seen some new face plates have usb plugs on the front, but ya no hassle aggrivating stuff or wires or wireless fm BS transmitter things lol...
also it doesnt have to have sirus or be hd radio ready or any of that who ha stuff...
like to only spend $200 but i can go a little higher but under $250

hhehh... and i supose a cheap but good install kit and all that including new rca jacks and all those goodies

thanks
-Allen =)

If you don't want to spend that much money and already have the subs, try a Kicker ZX 700.5 that can run your whole system. I have a MTX 895 5 channel andam very happy with it. Infinity makes some pretty good mids and highs for the money that work great (i have 6.5 inch components and 2 ways in the back and run a Pioneer Head unit & EQ/Crossover. And yest it plays MP3's

Also, depends too on how you listen your music and what you listen too. Do your research and stick to the budget you set yourself. Don't buy because it makes coffee in the morning, but you can find a wealth of info on the web. Good luck.

ya your right... kicker does the job and does it well when it comes to amps not sure about any of their other products.. im currently using a kicker ZR240 and its badass... it works better for my 10" orions as far as like... overheating and such, when i have it in my car with the JL's and say im on the highway and have the volume up quite a bit after a long wile it does shut off but i dont consider that a set back... its an all around great amp.. but its not mine, its my pa's, but hell he doesnt use it lol... but he said i cant "have it" just "use it" XD

he also has a kenwood cd player with mp3 and hd and sirus ready, and it has a front aux port... what would i need to get.. to get this to work with my ipod? sorry for my ignorance lol

im currently using an older 2003 model pioneer super tuner 3 D or w/e hehh basic of the basic cd player but it does the job and does is good about not skipping

Boy, you're gonna get a ton of differing viewpoints here . . everybody and their mom is gonna weigh in with their fav setup. What I can tell you is that if you're interested in HD radio, your only choice in the $200 range is the JVC KD-HDR1. Everything else will be much higher in price. Here's my take on it:
