E30 parking break switch
hi i have pioneer avx-p7300 dvd player with 7" screen i wanna use it in my E30... 1989 325i convertable, it says i have to mount the parking break wire to the "pearking break POSITIVE side of the switch" where is the parking break switch on an E30? :\ i pulled the rubber boot off the parking break like it showed in the installation picture but i dont see anything remote could anyone get a picture for me please? =)
oh yes... i get "this function cannot be used wile driving" when the dvd player is powered up

As for the "function cannot be used while driving" message... if you short the parking brake wire to one of the others (not sure which off the top of my head, but there are DIYs out there telling how) instead of hooking it up to the brake switch you can achieve full unit functionality during all times the unit is on... not just while parked w/ the hand brake on.
Yeah most people don't even hook that up so they can retain full function while moving, I'm suprised yours just has a parking break checker, some have a gyroscope than won't let them activate until the car stops moving.

ya... ill have to try messing with the wire hehh maybe look more into it, cause i looked at the diagram and cant find anything like a parking break switch
