Installing the BavAuto Infinity BassLink :)
Back in the day when I wasn’t sure if I wanted to buy the $350 bavauto basslink, I am now certain my purchase was the right choice. Before Christmas I bought it and now I'm going to do a little DIY and Review. IF YOU WANT THAT EXTRA BASS FILL, BUY THIS!!! The bass comes no where near my old two 10'' 800watt subs in the jeep. However, this is the perfect filler and doesn’t take up too much space.
First, start out with the unit...
Open your trunk and find the BMW factory amp. Take off the left tail light cover and pull the "carpet" down and you will see the amp. Unplug the factory harness, and plug the Basslink harness into the factory amp.
After that, plug the factory amp harness into the other end of the basslink harness.
After you get all of that goodness finished with , turn the sub around and plug in 2-3 things, the bassboost adjuster, and the "main wires"...it’s that easy
Mount it with the mounting screws if you choose, (I didn’t mount mine in the center of the trunk, don’t worry :P)
Wire up the bassboost controller to the front,
YOU ARE DONE!!! Turn on the car and enjoy the extra bass.

Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.

I used to do that too, but I realized that I never got around to it again So I stopped doing that, and always finish the job right away. That thing takes up a lot of room; can it mount to the decklid? Nice work, BTW!

Hmmm, looks similar to mine. I have the Infinity Basslink T which is one 10" sub and two 10" passive radiators. Mine is a much slimmer design though. For a quick install I just threw it in the trunk and hooked it up. However I do intend to mount it to the top of the trunk. Not on the deck lid, but drilled to the metal above in 2'nd pic under the rear seat latches. This thing sounds much better than I ever anticipated. And I got it for only 75 bucks

I did mine a bit differently. When I tapped into the speaker wires, it didnt quite work right, so I ended up running RCAs to my pioneer head unit. But I love it. Only thing I had to do was bang out the metal plate in the rear arm rest. Plenty of punch for me.

hahaha. its no where near my previous two 10'' 800watt system, but this unit definitely fills the bass sector. its not going to shake your brains out, but it is noticably different.
