If it's anything like the e46, (which I'm assuming it probably is) look for a little slot in the inside lip of the fender. Open the hood to find that slot and then use a long screwdriver to reach the clip inside that hole. the clip looks like a sideways V or (>)
Apply pressure to the top of the (>) clip and then wiggle the corners and then they should pop right out. Good luck to you.
