Donuts Tutorial
 

This may be a slightly controversial topic but im sure a few memebrs would like soemthing like this.Others may not. This is a turotial of how to do a donut, not wether there fun or stupid, or worth destroying your tires.


First of all for liability i wanna start that donuts are extremly dangerous, and can pose potential damage to your car (specially if u screw up). Doing a donut in a large emty parking lot is the safest (ie. the walmart parking lot at 2am is usually the best) but is stil ilegal on private property. Just remeber if you get busted its your fault, and any penalties or fines you may recive are your responsibility.


That bieng said, there are several ways to do proper donuts. It mostley depends on ur trannsmission. A manual transmission will usually result in a better burnout/donut but an auto wll still prove good fun. Its always god to remeber that doing a burnout/donut will absolutley aeat away ur tires.And for those of us that have to spend $4000 to replace them buying a crap saet of steelies an a used pair of tires may be best if u plan on doing lots of donuts.

The 4 Steps to doing donuts: (auto trans)
1. Turn Off traction control (AS)
2. Place car in lowest gear possible.
3. Turn he wheel hard to left or right (which ever way you want to spin)
4. Pin and hold the gas.

When done properly you should achive a nice donut. Its much funner with a manual but still basicly the same. Basicly you do a burnout but in a circle seeing how long you can hold it. Usually a manual will provide you with a better donut. If you can make ur tires smoke, ur doing pretty good. Just remebr to take pics and videos so u can share ur exploits.

EDIT: Unless if you are like me (Have two tag covers and have done the license tag light delete mode - self made :rock ), I would suggest doing it on a parking lot that doesn't have cameras ;)

Don't crank the wheel the whole time, straighten it out and turn again if necessary.
Also realize that once you do a donut and look at your tread, chances are you won't want to do one again.

That is actually a good instruct on the burn tire donut. Ask NASCAR really :)

You might wana add not to over rev your engine while in lowest gear, if you have an auto or manual over reving bad.

yeah, dont hold it cranked the whole way, or you will do a 180 and a standing burnout(done this many times) you have to kind of modulate the steering, because you are already oversteering anyway. :drive2
