Thanks, I already cleared the codes once and it did pop up again. Seemed as if I had to drive it a long ways to get it to read on the computer again. probably 75-100miles. I was kind of surprized at how long I had to run it.

Pre-cat was was correct.
Bank 1 is passenger side and bank 2 is driver side.
So you were wrong and I went ahead and replaced the sensor on the wrong side.
The correct information is as follows:
Bank 1 corresponds to engine spark plug number one side and that is on the side of the closest cylinder head to the front(plug #1 is). That is the passenger side.
Bank 2 is driver side and sensor 1's are pre-cat and sensor 2 are post cat.
So your reply should have been pre-cat drivers side.

Yes you probably could if the car wasn't so old and from back east.
Also I had to use penetrating oil to remove them because they were so rusted and I did not want to take a chance by crushing it by just using a wrench.
As it was I had to use a deep socket and a 3ft extention to break them loose.
