21st BMW International Open 2009: Highlights
 

The best players on the European Tour met for the 21st time at end-June in Munich. At the Golfclub München Eichenried the fans enjoyed excellent golf which saw Bernard Langer turn back the tides of time, arguably the most spectacular stroke in the tournament’s history – an albatross by Rafa Echenique on the 18th – and Nick Dougherty’s well-deserved victory, all amid the unique atmosphere for which the BMW International Open is well known for years.
