Wheell Suggestion for the 330
So, after a year and a half of driving the 330, our family has managed to bend 5 wheels.
http://www.bmwwheels.com/images/ecomm/mds68.jpg like that^^ so...we are going to need new wheels. Moms paying..so shes alright with paying up to 500 or so a wheel. What do you guys suggest? Keep in mind we drive on mountain passes all the time, being we live in the mountains. The roads also arent the best quality wise...so pot holes are an issue we cant get around. What do you suggest? We need strong and lightweight(if possible). I know nothing about the subject, so help me out. here is a pic of the car. also...wheels have to look good. http://www.blinkfile.com/2011/PICT1069_2.jpg |
it'll be tough to find something light weight that can handle crap like that. Do you have wheel shops where you could ask an expert?
|
heh expert. I hate going to shops..they just want quick money. No one around here knows how to help people.

SOme BBS would be nice, if not SSR's...
Look on Tirerack, they have a wide selection |
I think I would keep 17s on it (they are 17s right)

^Yeah If they are strong for the pot holes
|
Yeah some smaller sized wheels would do a lot better. heck look for some rally wheels
|
^^^ +1
i was gonna say the same thing. and it sucks too. smaller wheel, more rubber, and more survivability for the rim on $hitty roads. |
shit, i've bent two wheels on 15s. if smaller wheels didn't look so bad (and actually was feasible), i might get some 3s.

Just make sure that you buy Forged rather than Cast wheels.
They are tougher because of the forging. |
