Got a NEW CAR :) :) :)

Got a new car!! Ive had it for a little while acutally but here I am finally posting on it. Its a 2000 540/6. It has the complete Dinan S2 package plus a bunch more. All I can say is that going from the 525/5 to this car is amazing.. This car pulls like crazy!

Sorry I only have one pic to show you right now, I will have more once I am able to move it! Yes, its booted . (if you look carefully at the drivers side front wheel you can see the orange boot). Anyway I didnt do anything wrong - its a favor from the local cops for me since I lost my only key already and I'm waiting for my registration/title to come back to me so that I can get a new key.

Anyway here is a list of mods and a pic:

-Complete Dinan S2 package
-Dinan S3 suspension system
-S2 Light flywheel and clutch

-M5 European Clear CELIS rear brake lights
-M5 European Clear CELIS Angel Eye front Xenon lights
-M5 Side mirrors
-M5 Lighted All Leather Gear Shift Knob
-M5 rear deck spoiler
-M5 Front Kidney Grills
-M5 Brake Ducts
-M5 Brake duct cooling
-M5 Driveshaft
-M5 Wheel liners (fenders rolled)
-//M door sill liners
-//M Sport Multi-Function Steering Wheel
-M5 European sliding center arm rest with center storage (black leather)

-Brembo RT 14" Floating Big Brake Kit. 2-piece 14" cross drilled rotors, 4 piston calipers, braided SS lines.

-AC Schnitzer Exhaust (Dinan was too loud)
-AC Schnitzer Rear Bumper
-AC Schnitzer Front Bumper
-AC Schnitzer Aluminum Full Pedal Set
-UUC Werks Short Shifter & Double-Shear Shift Rod
-Zeckhausen Racing CDV delete
-Blinder Laser Jammer with stealth install
-Redline full synthetic fluids through-out
-Schroth Racing Street Legal Seatbelt harness (driver & passenger), quick removal harness
-BBS RK's
*18 x 8.5 front, 245-40-ZR 18 Goodyear Eagle F1-GS D3
*18 x 10 rear, 275-35-ZR 18 Goodyear Eagle F1-GS D3

Currently I'm waiting for a new EuroPlate to come in the mail, but other than that, I just need the S/C!!!

yeah actually i have a pair of the regular kidneys in the trunk i bought recently. Will try to put them on as soon as I can get anythign open The previous owner put the mesh in there and I was never really sure about the looks of it either

yeah the boot is just so nobody drives off with it in case they find the keys.. might as well play it somewhat safe for now

I am right around the St. Joseph area. I think it's a 40 min drive to Gingerman from here.. Maybe a bit more, not so sure. But I could get a few guys from here to go too. Any idea on the date yet? Also - prices?

That of course all depends on whether I get my keys by then or not

I think they are thinking next thursday. If your a student its $50, starts at 5:30 and they will probably let us run until about 8, they usually do 2-3 groupings depending on number of cars. I may or may not take my car.

well if I get my keys by then, then thats a yes. we should stay in touch about that though.. I am really interested.. Never been on a track so i would be a newb. I think they said beginners are welcome. I asked a couple friends tonight already and they said they would like to come as well with their cars. How far is it from where you live?

sorry i think im hijacking my own thread here

Beem, I envy you. I've been wanting a 5'er, but concluded that it's best to stick with what I got for now. Best of luck with it!

Sweet car beem. You have a 540i in M5 clothing, which is what I have been doing slowly. If you have an M5 driveshaft, I assume that you have an M5 lsd? Am I correct? What kind of mileage does the car have? It looks very clean. I like the mesh.

What did you end up paying on yours if you don't mind divulging?

well its almost all M5 clothing but not quite there! I have the Dinan 3.15 LSD. The mileage is a little over 100k, but I cant notice unless I look at the odometer I picked up the car just for about 20k. I realized its not the cheapest deal considering year and mileage, but considering that many of the mods such as headlights, the Dinan kit, etc, were on it - I was going to do them myself anyway, so I wouldve been well over 35k when I would've been done with it. This way I can save up for that S/C Gosh, thats going to take a while

The car is fully loaded except for the Nav. and really clean in and out. The front lip needs to be resprayed though - rock damage. But what car doesnt have rock chipping damage??? (unless its not driven)

I would really like the M5 speedo as well - those look so much nicer! Anyway, I'm gonna go out and snap a few more pics and post them.. Its driving me nuts that I can't drive it right now though! Oh well, patience.......

Oh and the europlate is coming on Monday. I feel like there is an empty gap on the bumper that needs to be filled!

Btw Dinan540, I love your car color! That was my initial choice but when I saw the silver, I couldnt pass that up either

looks sweet!!! must be a blast compared to the e34 although i still prefer the feedback in the e34 to the e39 steering.
I would black out the chrome and have the nice silver/black contrast going. Looks amazing though!! if you like chrome keep it, i just hate it on bmw's...
