its a myth that SUV's are safer than other types of vehicles. in fact, people that buy suv's for these typical reasons are probably the worst people to be driving them.

driving is a skill, and one that most people can do ok, but are not skilled in doing it. and driving a larger vehicle takes even finer and different skill. i know, i have driven all types of trucks all the way to 10 ton trucks. its much different then driving, say, a camry.

in fact, i was involved in an accident with a Ford Excursion. the driver (a women, no discrimination tho, respect goes to all who can drive well) hit me, and her entire front drivers side wheel well was pushed up on her tire. she got towed, i drove home.

sorry to be OT. out of the two of those three that have been release, i would got with the 335i, that thing looks sick! verdict will have to wait on the new E92 M3, until it is offically release anyway.

but still, much love for the E46 M3.

how about something different? like an 850i/ci/csi? they are safe, fast and moddable. and look as cool as hell. iv even seen some with superchargers, now if a supercharged V12 bimmer wont rip your pants off going down the highway, i dont know what will.

check this out. TWIN TURBO http://www.seattle5s.com/images/albu...rs2004-011.jpg

the only proiblem would be the upkeep and gas milage.

Either do the e46m3 or wait for the e92 m3 (my god thats just gotta be a great car).

LotAttendant, SUVS can suck my nuts, I will always feel safer in a car then in a truck(i call SUVs trucks, because they are), because I can do way more in a car then a truck. Oh and your saftey thing might be scewed there are a lot of cars out there that protect you very well, this is an extream example but that guy who wrecked the ferrari enzo and ran away, after you wreck your suv like that and you would be DEAD 40 times.

Oh an sorry to team up on you but one other thing, why should he get a SUV after his incident for about a year. Its like falling off a bike, get back on or go home and cry about it, he wants a car that is awsome to drive and hes not scared of getting back in another one and I think thats awsome.

thats am opinion about suv's being safer. one of my nurses in the hospital told me about his accident with a porche while he was driving an explorer. the sports car lost controll next to him on the highway and spun out into his side and they both went spiraling into the center lane wall. the suv drivers seatbelt cut into his waist and his head smacked the inside of the car and caused a concussion. the porche driver had a broken wrist from gripping the wheel so tight. thats all.

so yea. looks like e92, yea yea? :P

suv's serve no purpose. every time i see one, there is ONE f*ckin person in it!!!! thank you, f*ck tard, for ruining the environment. thank you. do you need that big POS to drag you around? no!!! i could understand if you have 17 kids or actually use the damn thing, but for the most part, they are a drain on our economy (aka gas prices... which is another subject) and a killer of our environment. carbon output, anyone? they are excessive and horrible. unessacary.

sorry, this should go in the rant forum.

anyway, get the 335i. twin turbo??? fuck yeah!! carbon output/environmentally friendly-ness of BMW? hells yeah!
that is all.

i have to dis agree with you or atleast you should re word it, suvs in the city have no purpose. here in the "kansas outback" they are very very handy. it bugs the hell out of me when i see someone driving a huge pickup/suv in town and never use it for what its made for. i would willingly kill those people. theres this one guy in town that drives around the biggest pickup dodge makes and only drives it in town. that guy is a moron. same with everyone that does that.

just to comment on what bmwlotattendant says, yes, if you hit me with your SUV you will probably suffer less damage, however what happens if you take a turn slighy faster than your supposed to, or swerve b/c someone cut you off? yea, thats what i thought

The GX470 is the US version of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, which is an excellent -- and very male -- vehicle.

The fact that for some reason women think they have to have them doesn't make the truck any less appealing to me (well, maybe a little).

If I get my hands on a GX470, I will switch out the suspension for a TRD setup, and put in the 6-speed manual off a Tundra. This would entail a lot of money, but it would be worth it to me.

In all honesty, keep with your 325 for another 11months. it won't kill you. get yourself on the waitlist for an E92 M. Like harry said, knowingyou, the second it comes out, you're going to regret not choosing it.

Oh, btw....

It's going to be another 2 years before the e92 M3 comes out.

Sounds like you're going to be getting either the 335i Turbo or the e46 Competition Package M3 for now.
