Tape Decks!!! ahhhh
Okay theres one thing that I dont understand about BMWs and other luxury cars and that is the obsession with tape decks. I just picked up a 2000 5 series (WILL DO A NEW POST w/ PICS SOON) and instead of having a CD player up front its a tape deck.. The changer is in the trunk.
Also, my friend's 911 has FIVE tape slots!!!!! Who in the world needs FIVE? Im talking about them being IN the car where normally one would have a cd deck. Not in the trunk or anything. Anybody know why Germans are so obsessed with the tape?

MP3 tapes.. that is possible, but impractical. Not worth the trouble.
BMW used this strategy to be able to offer a lower introductory price on their cars.

Ive Seen $80,000 Jags which have tape players in them If Im paying $80,000 for a car it better have a damn CD player in it or at least an Ipod connector
