Speedometer Clock On The Blink!!!

The speedemeter clock of my E36 (1992 - 325i) has gone on the blink. Nothing works except the needle, brakes & handbrake indicator. The temp. gange, fuel indicator, rpm, service light indicator etc are all out. My electrician here in Nigeria, Abuja said that it had expired after the specified period it was meant to serve. Is this really true? How much will a new one cost? If not what do i need to do? I will appreciate any assistance from house members before i run out of gas in the middle of nowhere. Thanx a heap in advance

i don't really understand, but maybe something crazy happened and a lot of the indicator lights burnt out in the instrument cluster.
If that is the case, here's how to fix it yourself:

That idea that the clock and other instruments are only supposed to last a specific time is not true. Have you checked the fuses?

Yeah, your mechanic or whoever is trying to Bullshit you into shelling out money you don't need to shell out. Check the fuses, check the bulbs, look for shorts, etc.

You have three choices, stand behind our troops, grab a gun and toe the line with our troops, or stand in front of them, they can use the extra armor.
