Supercharge?

So I met with a few locals on the weekend, a couple of them had their rides supercharged...... Now Im considering it. Any suggestions or tips, this is the first time I have even brought up this question.

Is it even possible?

with the M30, you're better off with a turbo

You have three choices, stand behind our troops, grab a gun and toe the line with our troops, or stand in front of them, they can use the extra armor.

Look around there.

And to answer your question, turbo M30's are much more common than s/c'ed ones, so youll definitely have a great knowledge base to work from.

M30 + turbo = ungodly torque increases

oh yeah, and the most important factor is that to get a s/c you'd have to switch from v- belts to serpentine belts, and quite frankly, its not worth the time effort and money.

If you really really want a s/c'er though, you might as well put a s/c M50 in it, much easier.

In fact, i don't even know of a supercharger for the M30 now that i think about it.

Do some searching arond other BMW forums. Everyone pretty much says that supercharging the M30 is a complete nightmare. Most people give up, sell the parts and get a turbo.

Yeah, it looks like thats the way to go. I checked a couple other forums, and they all pointed me to TCD.com
