there's nothing else to do BUT put your hand on the shift in an auto. One foot action isn't very satisfying. Not a stab at anyone just personal preference.

Is keeping your foot on the clutch when you're stopped or just rolling to a stop sign for a longer then avg. distance actually bad for it? I usually keep my foot on the clutch when Im stopped just so if when it turns green I can just pop it right into 1st, I also play around with the shifter alot if Im at a light, guess I better stop now...

Yes, very bad. Wean thyself of such bad habits, and forgive thyself for being bad to your bimmer

Always place your left foot on the footrest to break that habit; don't ride the pedal. Don't be in a rush to get moving when the light turns green, let the bastards behind you wait- they're not gonna buy you a new clutch. In time, once you get the mechanics down, you'll get faster and faster at it.

Yea ill try to put my foot on footrest, good pt. I also heard that rolling to a stop by putting it into neutral and having the clutch in while rollin for like a good amount of time can also be bad? Anyone know about that
