Personally I think it is stupid to buy a car, regardless of it being a limited edition and just garage it. Your spending all that money to own it. I think at the very least you could trailer it to track events or something.

I wouldn't garage it all the time. I'd take it out on those utterly perfect summer days. Still, something like that will be worth some serious dough someda, so preserving it for that (if not simlpy for posterity) is important.

Soo... is it really possible to drop a E39 m5 engine into a E46 3 series? If i were to make my super car, I would either buy an m3 all souped up or a 330 and drop in a new engine, tranny parts, shocks springs, etc. Which one would be a better way to go?

True, I guess then it would be a matter of dropping the M5 block in the e46 3 series. Man after i switched from the 3 series rental to my 5 series, I like the 3 series handling a lot more (tight cornering, car moves with every flick of my wrist ) well ..... I miss it I guess.
