What's your best gas milage in your Bimmer?

How about this??!!

At half tank, 284mi (I should mention that I had to reset the trip after 13mi) and OBC reading of 30.9mpg
Full tank = 16.6gal
Half tank = 8.3gal
Calculated MPG: (284+13)mi/8.3gal = 35.8mpg! :rock

I know... it's a bit more than Half tank, but so what. I still think it's impressive. :redspotda

that is pretty damn good, must of been only high way miles.

the best mileage ive gotten is prob 21 mi/gal but this is only because i don't drive many highway miles at all.

You must drive like a granny... lol.

I once got 21.x... usually I average around 18. Last night I wasted 2 gallons on 15 miles of driving. Can you say WOT ?

Addicted? 05-01-2005 04:12 PM

i took three buddies on a small back road, and made them wet themselves, it was fucking crazy, but i wasted 1/4 tank :mad

I've gotten as much as 270 miles from a full tank of M20B27, and only about half was on the highway. I actually don't get much better mileage on the highways than I do in town, since I can't really drive fast in traffic and I take all that freeway space as a challenge.

I made my St Augustine to Miami move, 480 miles on about 14 gallons so 34 MPG :) Around town here more like 20

Haha, yea, I pretty much did do that. Actually, to be honest, when I first got her, I would average around 28 calculated miles/gal. however, when the dealer reset my DME, I now bearly ever touch 26mpg, which totally blows since now a days the gas is ever more expensive. But yea, that was a trip for school to research a roadway... hence the long distance driving on a continual highway with the sparatic spirited acceleration.

25 with aftermarket exhaust.. i just put the stock back on and i have a 700 mi trip ahead of me, so we'll see how it goes from there.. but so far with the stock exhaust the difference is unbelievable! its so much better

i get about 20 mpg now. when i had my 325 i got about 280 miles on three quarters of a tank.

Numark318i 05-02-2005 10:08 AM

i get about 25mph just fucking around..thats about as bad as it gets. I can get up to 40 if im on highway cruizing at like ~80.

EnvyM3 05-02-2005 10:32 AM

I would tell you but my gague is broken and I am too lazy to calculate

projal147 05-02-2005 10:49 AM

my BEST is about 28mpg on a full tank, it was all highway and i was crusin at like 85ish the whole way, no need to accelerate much since there was literally NO ONE on the road.

i did take it up to 105ish when i got bored to have some fun (not the same drive as my kill story)

but normally i get only 22 around town

komodo 05-02-2005 11:01 AM

Ha! Now Civics have NOTHING on us. hehe

///95M3 05-02-2005 02:10 PM

I got 25.9 comming home from nc picking up my car. I was cruising at over 100 for along time though but maintained about 78 for the first two hours.
