Polyurethane Bushings

I am contemplating getting the polyurethane bushings for the front and rear strut bars and control arms. Does anyone have them? If so, how harsch does it make the ride quality?

What are the advantages to having them?

I have offset polyurethane bushings for the CABs. It's a touch stiffer, but you have a greater steering feedback. It's worth it.

ditto - I have them in the front and rear, it helps make it a little stiffer than stock ones, and they will not wear out in another 30-40k miles like the OEM ones will continue to do.

I 'heard' before I got mine people saying that when cornering at speed, you sometimes get a 'creak' from the poly bushings (just sound, nothing bad going on) - I have not experienced that all, and she gets a workout with me..

Its been a year since you posted this... Hamann how are those offset bushings holding up?

I made the mistake of replacing my CAB's recently with the webbed version and they are knackered after only about 10000kms.

Thinking of getttiing the powerflex offset ones to reduce understeer but wondering if additional hardware is required or whether it will help to reduce understeer at all?

Plus how do they go in? It seems there is no metal sleeve and some kind of sholder. Do they come with the bracket?

Hey don't feel guilty or worry - plus you have valid question and I'm sure the folks here will help you out. It's the boneheads who ask questions that are or were answered multiple times and we KNOW they didn't make an attempt using our search feature here or Google. You'll see in a matter of time who the culprtits are. It's like watching "old news re-runs"
