Just came back, they were too busy to "deal" with the issue, the gave me my oil change ($42.35, Sale Price) and rescheduled for the 21st.
I asked them for a loaner for that date, I have an exam. I also asked if there would be any charge for the loaner. "Only gas and tickets," was his reply. I wonder what he was trying to insinuate with that...
Dough
PS, a new oil change after 14,500mi does wonders. Bimmer sprints like a bat out of hell now.

15000 mi, isnt that the technically allowed amount an oil can stay in your BMW engine if it is synthetic.. people say they can be replaced at 3 but that is reality. just like the new BMWs, they say 15000 miles without maintenence

The loaner thing is a "formality question". You can thank previous loaner people for that. I agree the oil changes should be done at least half that interval if not sooner. It's cheap insurance for longevity {if you're going by your owners manual, the oil service has a notation that an oil change should be done inbetween oil services. Confused yet? lol
Oil change = Oil & FIlter only
Oil Service = Oil, filter, check coolant level, power steering fluid level, brake fluid, windsheil washer, auto trans fluid, check steering box and linkage for excess wear, check brakes - rotors, calipers, parking brake adjust. tire pressures including spare, check ALL lights inside and out, check headlight alignment, check wiper blades, check heating & AC then road test.

Yea they quoted me on a repair that they believe is due when they gave me my "Oil Service" bill. $227.24 estimate for the power steering supply line that he said is leaking. I asked what defined leaking, ie. drip drip drip.... he said it's just wet, but that "it will get worse over time." Now, I'm no mechanic, but, looking in my Bentley manual, the supply hose is located just under the reservior, and is attached by two of those tightening clips that you tighten with a screwdriver (I don't know the technical terminology). So a 2-3 foot rubber hose, and two clips + power steering fluid is all that is needed. Parts cost $48.51 and labor another $147 + "misc" at $20?.... Damn Steelership. Fuck that.

Just buy the parts and do yourself. I agree, dealer rates are "bu-koo$" But that's how all dealerships support staff, inventories, etc... They make little on sales but service pays for techs, secrtaries, lights and majority of overhead. I do ZERO business with service dept, I'm on a first name basis w/parts (only stuff that is dealer only) Hell, I have my own stamp for service book and own reset tools. I agree "screw them" but at least do it yourself or find someone who is competant to do for you.

Update
Ok, they checked her out.
Diagnosis:
According to the dealer.....
Electrical Glitches due to the General Module being reset. How you may ask... they have NO idea. They said that the device itself could be faulty, and as a result, one day, may not allow the dealership to update it with the correct software (assuming that this shit happens every year). So it wasn't "thier" fault that it happened again. If I were to purchase a new General Module, it would set me back $500, not including labor.
I had to pay $55.65 for 30 min worth of software update bullshit. Under prostest, I payed, so that I could get my car back...."If you don't pay, I cannot release your car." This is really annoying.
Whinning noise is due to the Secondary Air Pump. The dealer said I could wait on that one, but when I do chose to shell out for it, it would be $687.29 ($443.88 parts, $199.50 labor).
Also making slight noise was the Belt tensoiner and Pully, THAT shit would cost me $537.88 ($239.93 parts, $262.50 labor) eventually.
So I go in last week for an oil change, come back with a $2000+++++ fix-it list. Mudda Fukas... damnit.
Dont' harp on me, but this shit is rediculious. Seriously, what's the deal?
A yet again, pissed off Dough

"D", I suspect they're jacking you around now. After reading your complaints they should've noted these things months ago. It's a "perpetual grocery list". This "stealer" is one that gives the rest of them a bad name. If these guys are doing this to you, can you imagine how many people just go along with it & pay the bill?
Call BMW NA at 1.800.831.1117 and ask for customer service and provide them all your notes of costs, hassles & bs dealer is giving you.And note "how conveniently" they keep finding deeper problems to sell you repairs on. Tell them you'ld like some realistic explanation and want to meet with the area rep in your area.
I'ld also be documenting dates, times, who you spoke with, invoice #s and keep a "running record" (date order specific) of how this is playing out. I'ld also drop a letter to your state attorney generals' office - just a little extra "oomph" to let the "stealer" know you're not some dumb customer at his mercy.
