BMW driver habits

Just wondering what quirky habits you folks might have with your car. Things I've noticed I do:

-Lock the doors with my left elbow.

-Before I start driving, I push the CHECK button to display "CHECK CONTROL OK". Note: this doesn't actually check the car systems, it just checks to see if the OBC is working properly.

-While sitting at a light, I push in the turn signal lever to flip through the OBC functions.

-When allowing others to pass in front of me, I'm more partial to other BMW drivers.

-When parking on the street, I turn my passenger side mirror down to see how close I am to the curb.

D-Ski -yea I'm guilty of a few of those - When I first start up - I wait for the oil service/inspec bars to go out before I move. The curb thing I don't have to do, when I put it in reverse it does it automatically (usually scares the crap out of pass) I'll let another BMW owner into traffic more often than others, especially those shit heaps with garbage hanging off them - "I don't need someones kitchen appliances or lumber in my grill"

Haha, I lock my doors with my elbow too all the time (usually by accident).

I tend to find the car on the same road as me that's going fastest and tailgate them (using them as a shield for any cops up ahead). If any cars pass us, I switch over and move to them.

I can't check my OBC because I took out that unit, however I sometimes walk around my car before I get in, looking to make sure no one nicked my door with theirs or what-not.

The 1st thing I do when getting in a bimmer is...

I turn the fogs and corners on,

and then roll all the windows down and open the sunroof.

I just start it wait 30 secs and then go. My motor tends to sound rough and then smooths out after 30 secs. While I'm driving and letting it warm up I don't let the revs go past 3000rpms and then shift. Like to make sure everythings flowing before I giver!!!!!!!! Oh ya doorlock my gf takes care of locking it with her elbow!!!Every time she gets in!

yea i also do the elbow locking thing.

i check my oil, water, belts, brake fluid etc twice a week.

I dont go past 3500 before she warms up.
always roll down the drivers side window...even if its raining cats and dogs...for some reason i like the window open.

I turn on my headlights..anytime of day.

i also make sure beofre i start the car that my key goes in so that i can see the bmw emblem on the key...lol..if its in upside down i have to turn it off and flip it around.

I think we got a winner here

Here's another one . . how many of you park the car, then turn to stare at it as you're walking away? I do it at least twice

Guilty.

My process when I get in the car is put my seatbelt on, turn the key (or push the push-start-button if I'm bored), flip on my angel eyes, hit the open sunroof button, put on my sun glasses if it's daytime, and go. Takes about 5-10 seconds.
