im an anal car owner

does anyone else here get all twisted up every time you hear a strange noise coming from your car? have any of you screamed at the person riding with you to "SHUT THE FUK UP" cause you want to try and listen for a noise you thought you just heard? I find im doing that constanly, and 99% of the time its not even my car. I could never own something that was constantly breaking down, or that required a lot of maint. and if the noise is coming from my car ill do anything to find out whats causing it. sometimes i cant sleep cause im worying about my car, or thinking about what mods i should do next, or if i should fix that sweaty pan gasket.
IM GOING FRIGGIN NUTS

You are not alone man. I think that every BMW owner has shared the same experience at leats once. I have actually had several nightmares about my car. One of them, I went back to my car and it was totally vandalized with wheels missing, beaten with baseball bats, all roundels gone, etc. Another one consisted of my car going up in a complete ball of flames. Always a big sigh of relief when I wake up and realize it was only a nightmare.

I am always checking on my car, everytime i leave my appartment to goto class I look at it in the parking lot to make sure no one is too close or that anyone hit it or anything. And yes when noises show up I try to fix them/have them fixed.

You're not alone friend... I grabbed this bitch by the nap of her neck & threatened to stuff her head in the glove-box so she'ld shut up. It worked like a charm - she didn't say a word for at least 20 minutes - "then they wonder why you won't call them"

Or did you ever get this? "You spend more time with your car then me"
(boo-hoo) Here's the "patented" answer - "You're right, that's because I KNOW where my cars' parked in the morning"

Speaking of which. I've had several instances where customers are this way.

The way to tell if they are or not...is when their car pulls up and there are shower towels over the floor mats, and bed comforters and sheets in the back seats. All brand new. Whew! In some e39s and e65s.

Intersting.

my last girlfriend said "do you love your car more than me/"
my reply: "yes - the car will be around in a few months."

I always keep a closae eye on my baby. whenever I eat at Waffle House, I park close to hte restaurant and sit so I can keep an eye on it at all times.
