The day has come...

Yes a repost.. but here it is.. the new M5..

This lucky fellow has a brand new one.. and while it is one ugly car, just knowing what is under the hood justifies it in every right.

I LOVE that car. e60 M5 > e39 M5 by far in my opinion.

For now, I'll just agree with this reviewer from a well known British Car Mag:

"On every objective scale, the new M5 obliterates. It takes what we previously considered supercars and belittles them, patronises them into insignificance with the kind of confidence born of constant measurement and, possibly, coloured graphs. It is obsessive in its superiority and complete in its authority."

E60M5 engine in an E39 would be the best IMO

I agree with his choice in rims.

The E34 M5 is where it's at. Whoever heard of a V-8 M? S38 please.

In performance yes, but can you honestly say that it looks better than the e39?

I agree with hamman, the e34 M5 is most definetly the best looking M5 of all time, and the s38 is a great engine, i would have loved to have seen an inline six in the new M5, with upped displacement.. but this is by no means a let down.. haha.

Seeing a V8 in the new M3 is really saddening though.

how else could bmw compete with audi's rs6?

I think it's a smart move. just move the 330 up to the m3's i6 displacement and let it take over.

The M5 is the RS6's competition.

haha, sad thing is I actually did mean RS4. that's the n/a V8 isn't it? the one that all the writers are calling an "M3 slayer"?

though, I too would prefer the M3 to stay a 6-cylinder.

I don't think the new M5 looks that bad at all, I do prefer the e39, but I still like the e60.
