Talk about BMWs in general. Post official news, Bangle flames, or anything else related to BMW.
Hello, I bought a 2002 530i several weeks back. I was told by the previous owner it had the sport package. I don't doubt it..I just don't know what that all consist of. Also there is a red plastic cover to adj. the rear view mirror. But it never has light up. I asked the local BMW parts guy about it. He said " it is for an alarm, you probably don't have one". When I press the key remote there is a chirp or beep.
In the interior there is a m5 logo on both the steering wheel and shifter cover.
Question; How do I tell exactly what I do have (or not) in my garage?
Te red bulb is an alarm light. It was installed on all of em regardless of wether the alarm was installed.
Email TheBMWPartsStore.com. They do VIN package decoding. It can tell you every available option your car came with from the factory. I did it and it was great.
I'm not sure why the link rejects your IP. Works fine for me, even on my iPhone. The information provided was wht transmission i have, fluid capacities, production date (which I already knew) and chassis number. Sorry, I should have included their email address: thebmwpartstore@gmail.com
They process a bunch of requests so t takes a day or two to get back but it's worth it.
