working for the "motherland" does have it's perks & it takes NOTHING away from driving your own ride - maybe shows how old it's getting vs new models. The "BIG IF" is, it's work... don't glamorize it too much. You're working in the big leagues with high end customers who have high end values & expectations. On the lower end, being the lot attendant is not scrutinized too bad - yet you're face to face with customer and have to be a people person (sometimes an ass kisser) If you get up in technical/service you get "hammered" with tech data & schooling 3 to 4 times a year to earn your "Schulungspass" (it's like your factory knowledge passport)
My neighbors used to think I was a drug dealer in Florida because I'ld come home weekly driving different new models - it was cool experience but you DO have to work

PS: BMW doesn't call them recalls - they're "open campaigns" FYI

Hey, Shahab, I'll be flying into Louisville at around 10:30 am tomorrow morning. I'll be staying in Madison, helping some guys out with the Oberto hydroplane. I may just have to swing through Indianapolis, and "test drive" one of those M's. haha

Uhhhh, actually, you are wrong.

It says on the RO, perform recall #(a bunch of random numbers-whatever the recall number is FROM BMW)

ex: perform recall #23463980143

And then it gets the update.

I think I would know, I work for the dealership.

And in some cases, BMW fills up the tank after the recall is completed.
